Posted by Ryan Reyes On December - 1 - 2009

gloriaMANILA, Philippines – President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who ended speculation about her political plans and announced her bid to run for Congress, arrived in her hometown in Pampanga Tuesday morning to hear mass before filing her certificate of candidacy, according to a television report.

Arroyo arrived with her husband, First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo, shortly after 8 a.m. at the St. Augustine Parish Church in Lubao town, as seen on live footage aired on GMA Network’s morning program, “Unang Hirit.”

Arroyo is expected to file her CoC after the mass.

She will be running for the 2nd district of Pampanga.
