On Why I Took The Night Shift
The world is just amazing; you cannot learn all of it in just one look. I set myself to that belief and try to experience a thing or two than sticking to an old routine. I want to know something new and I know it’s a human instinct to wander around things. It’s the human instinct that drives people to ravel in places, to read books, to watch television and to find the truth. It is the desire that pushes man to climb the highest peak and to dive the deepest trench. And just like a treasure hunter traveling for miles, you will find a sweet reward at the end of it.
It is the curiosity that makes Pandora to open the box. By opening it, all of the troubles came out and wrecked mankind. It is the same notion that people repeatedly remind most of us: curiosity kills the cat. But in the box Pandora has opened, there remains hope. The maxim, curiosity kills the cat, is half truth or neither a truth. It is curiosity which separates the clueless from the brave, the innocent from the sensible and the dumb from the clever.
The world is there to be conquered by your eyes. The sky is open wide to be surmounted by the eagle. The ocean is down deep to be dominated by the shark. You do not need to confine yourself in an imaginary bubble. You must not believe that you are all OK. Living is not just pure contentment; that is just a part of living, to be contented. The other part does not lie in yourself but in the world around you, we live with others. You just need to step out of the bubble, or of the box. Do not be afraid to face the world instead, absorb anything there. Everything in sight will be in hand.
The night is spectacular with vivid radiance that plays in my eyes. I see sparkling poles and beaming lights from speeding cars as I take my ride. Such perfect scenery makes me want to catch still. It is priceless, the price I have taken. A kaleidoscope may look dull at first glance but if you peek to its hole, you will find amusement.
Just what Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien has said, “Not all who wander are lost.” Try to explore and still, learn new things. The world is just amazing.
