There Will Be No Death
Today, people will crowd the cemeteries and pray for their loved ones who already left. We may pay tribute to our relatives for the days they spent with us here in Earth.
We cannot hide our feelings wherever one who are close to us died. We know that death is inevitable but is it God’s will for us to die? The answer is no.
“ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
God wants us to live forever more. But how? God promised to raise all the dead in every tombstone as it is written in the Bible.
“Your dead shall live; together with my dead body they shall arise.
Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs,
And the earth shall cast out the dead.” – Isaiah 26:19
“ Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice” – John 5:28
“ Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: …the dead are raised…” – Luke 7:22
Who will be resurrected from the grave? Do we all have a chance to be raised when the day come? The answer is yes. As what Apostle Paul said “I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.” (Acts 24:15). Also, note that Jesus has said to one of the criminals hanged with him. “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:39-43)
But why did the unjust be included? It is because of God’s love for all of us. They will be given a period to know things of God’s will and to embrace God’s Kingdom.
The good news is God promised to give His sons eternal life enjoying life on Earth under His mighty Kingdom.
“The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.” – Psalms 37:29
Everlasting life is repeated all over the verses of the Holy Scriptures.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
“For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.” – John 5:21
“And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” – John 11:26
One of the great promises of God is the elimination of death itself when His Kingdom comes.
“The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.” – 1 Corinthians 15:26
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” – Revelations 21:4
A great promise indeed to hope for! A paradise we all wait for!
“For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.” – Luke 20:38
